Center for Insight and Change

The Center for Insight and Change helps people understand what it is that enables some to enjoy life, grow and thrive even amidst circumstances in which others struggle. The amazing truth is that our state of mind determines how we experience life in each moment and there are fundamental principles that enable you to see how this works. Understanding these principles allows you to more effectively tap into a deeper intelligence, one that provides greater wisdom and clarity in the form of insights. Acting on this deeper intelligence is the single best vehicle for greater happiness, enhanced ability, and lasting change.

Andy Winter, Founder and Director

Andy lives in rural Vermont with his wife, Elissa, their daughter Emmy, and an assortment of farm animals including goats, chickens, and bees. He and Elissa encountered the three principles 25 years ago and their lives were affected in extraordinary ways.  Since then, Andy has been sharing the principles as an educator, consultant, and coach.  He helped found and direct two innovative high schools designed with the principles at the heart of the curriculum. Over the years he has had the privilege of learning from, and working directly with, Sydney Banks and other extraordinary three principles teachers including Dicken Bettinger, George and Linda Pransky and the rest of the Pransky and Associates team, Roger Mills, Ken Manning and many more.

Andy and Elissa are tremendously grateful for encountering the principles and for the impact this understanding has had on their lives and the lives of those around them.  Their 10-year-old daughter Emmy is growing up with the principles as central to her understanding of life, and the insights she has about the inside-out nature of human experience are touching and illuminating. As Emmy stated the other day, “Can you imagine what the world would be like if people saw that their feelings did not come from the world or the people around them … people would get along better that’s for sure”. That is why Andy founded the Center for Insight and Change – to help people get in touch with their innate health, wisdom and incredible capacity for insights– insights that profoundly affect their lives, and in doing so, change the world around them.

In addition to his work Through the Center for Insight and Change Andy is a professional tennis coach and with Elissa leads international learning expeditions through her company Express Fluency. Andy also enjoys carpentry, surfing, skiing, hiking and many other outdoor adventures.

Andy offers 4-day intensives in Brattleboro, Vermont. He works with people via Skype or phone and travels to work with schools and businesses. There is a year-long mentoring program as well.
